Let me introduce myself
My name is Syp Koelewijn
Founder of IJs van Oranje. What started with one ice cream cart has grown into a company that provides ice cream at parties, businesses, schools, festivals and events throughout the Netherlands.
My goal is simple: good ice cream, neat service and a look that fits the moment.
Besides events, we supply tubs of artisan scooped ice cream to hospitality, restaurants, hotels, campsites and holiday parks. Via the shop you can also order ice cream cups, tubs of ice cream and ice cream cakes.

How IJs van Oranje grew
2020
The start
The first season of IJs van Oranje. Started with the first ice cream cart at local events, weddings and private parties. The foundation for the brand was laid.
2021
Growth in the region
More and more requests from businesses, schools and events. The customer base grew and IJs van Oranje became a well-known name in the region.
2022
Professionalisation
Investments in materials, look and working methods. The focus increasingly shifted to quality, service and a premium presentation.
2023
Expanding the range
Besides ice cream carts, new concepts were also developed for businesses, festivals and larger events. The range was expanded.
2024
Further growth
More business clients, larger events and further expansion of services. IJs van Oranje grew into a regular partner for many organisations.
2025
Own business premises & shop preparation
Own business premises, further professionalisation of the organisation and the development of a proprietary shop and retail concept.
2026
Shop & future
Launch of the shop with ice cream cups, 5-litre ice cream tubs and ice cream cakes. Alongside further growth towards hospitality, holiday parks, festivals and nationwide partnerships.

Future vision
Continuing to invest in quality, innovation and premium ice cream concepts, with the aim of further building IJs van Oranje into a leading Dutch brand for ice cream catering, hospitality and retail.
